Choosing a UKAS – 17025-accredited laboratory provides peace of mind and an assurance of a job well done.

You wouldn’t drive a car that didn’t have a current, valid MOT certificate – because the risks are obvious. The same is true of services from commercial laboratories – you need to make sure that your choice is safe and assured. You need the confidence that the laboratory operates within defined procedures and to established standards. You want to know that your work will be undertaken by a laboratory that has the right people, facilities, expertise, systems and track record to do the job right – first time and every time.

That’s what UKAS -17025 accreditation is all about. UKAS is the only accreditation body recognised by the UK government to assess, against internationally recognised standards, laboratories that provide test and calibration standards.

Accreditation by UKAS demonstrates the competence, independence and performance capability of laboratories. ServiceCal is a UKAS-accredited laboratory – UKAS –17025 registration number 0152 – and has enjoyed continued accreditation since 1985.

Servicecal is a UKAS – 17025-accredited calibration laboratory (0152) which provides calibration to this standard at its permanent laboratory in Heywood. Calibrations can be performed on site, traceable to national standards, and an in-house certificate issued.

 A service department is fully equipped to carry our repairs to component level on a wide range of equipment – including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, thermometers, pressure gauges, PAT testers, verniers/micrometers, wind-speed meters/anemometers, 17th Edition test equipment through to laboratory standards and multifunction calibrators. Services include wind–speed, temperature and pressure testing.
